IAPT is a grass-root organization working for the upgradation of Physics teaching and Physics teachers by conducting various academic programmes and activities, throughout the country.

Shocked to learn the demise of prof waghmare, a long time friend and colleague in IAPT. He was the President and l was General Secretary from 1999 to 2003. In numerous meetings that we had, I found him a clear headed person, who knew what was to be done. During his Tenure IAPT got a fresh lease of life. A person with joyful personality, he would endear himself to a person, whom he talked to. Popular among students, he would get surround by them, to listen to his experiences and advice. His demise is a serious blow to IAPT.
