Annular Solar Eclipse of 15th January 2010 is going to be the biggest event because Indians will witness the ASE after 120 years. The places of interest are Kanniyakumari, Nagercoil and Tiruanthapuram - all from the State of Kerala. So I looking forward to hear from members of IAPT from that region. Here is a suggestion for organizers.

In Indore, I observed that many organizers had invited researchers to observe the eclipse of 22nd July and conduct advanced research and involved the public to watch act. But in my opinion, organizers should also involve persons dealing with the eradication of superstitions. For example, astronomers and astrologers both consider Rahu n Ketu. So the question is why do they fight? making confusion in the public. I am using a simple, home-made model for 15 years. So, I think, organizers have to include such efforts also.
